Graduating from college is a significant milestone that marks the end of one chapter in your life and the beginning of another.  Otero College is proud to be a part of you and your family’s journey and look forward to celebrating with you during the upcoming Commencement Ceremony. On this page you will find important Commencement day information for graduates and family members.

Cap and gown will be handed out at practice.

You will receive your cap & gown at rehearsal on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 4 PM
You do not need to return your graduation regalia, it is yours to keep.
You may decorate your cap.

Doors open – 1 hour prior to the start of ceremony.
Tickets – No tickets required for entrance into any of the ceremonies
Limit – There is no limit to the number of guests for each graduate.
Accessible Seating – Located in designated area on the gym floor.

Otero will provide a photographer to take graduate photos during the ceremony. The photos will be available on the Otero website after the ceremony.
NO guests will be allowed to take photos near the stage, but there will be many photo opportunities outside after the ceremony.

Please report dressed in your graduation regalia and appropriate attire. Be prepared to take your photo in your cap & gown.

Your Otero transcript is your OFFICIAL academic record. It will be available once your degree has been posted. This will be approximately 4 weeks after graduation.
