The fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) are integral to modern society and provides students, researchers, professors and enthusiasts with a deeper understanding of the world. From learning about the interconnectedness of ecosystems to creating new technologies for society, an education in STEM gives you an appreciation for lifelong learning and a set of skills that will make you employable in numerous job markets.

At Otero College, our dedicated faculty guide students through hands on, project based activites both on and off campus, encouraging teamwork and curiosity while embracing the fundamentals of each discipline. Our faculty are here to equip students with the tools they need to succeed in the many fields related to STEM.

Science Day with Dr. Gray

Otero College's AIM Program is hosting a new bi-monthly series, called “Science Day w/ Dr. Gray”. Workshops take place every other Tuesday at 10:30 in the Learning Commons! Come spend an hour with Otero’s own Dr. Joel Gray and participate in some hands on science based learning activities, like soldering, magnetism, and more!
