Nurse Aide

Start your career in healthcare as a Certified Nurse Aide

Do you take joy in helping others? Do you have experience taking care of family members in need? At it’s core, a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) provides basic care and support for patients in medical facilities such as, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and even in a patient’s home. As a CNA you will also assist licensed nursing staff with monitoring and communicating directly with patient’s to help determine their health status and administer medication. Becoming a CNA is an excellent way to introduce yourself to the rewarding field of nursing and other health professions.

The Nurse Aide program at Otero College is offered each semester. With cooperation from area hospitals, students receive education, training, and practical application experience that prepares them to work in CNA positions.

Earn your CNA certificate at zero-cost to you!
