Your On-Campus Experience
We’re looking forward to having you on campus. We’re working hard to enhance health and safety so that all students, faculty, staff and visitors to campus can get the most out of their Otero experience. Course delivery methods will vary relative to the Covid level in Otero County.
Here are the ways Oterowill deliver courses in the spring to ensure a safe learning:environment:
In-Person
The class content is delivered in person on campus.
Hybrid
A portion of the class content is delivered via videoconferencing tools such as WebEx,
Zoom, or other digital options. In addition, there will be predetermined dates that
students will be required to meet on campus in small groups.
*Hybrid-Remote
The majority of class content is delivered online in real time via videoconferencing
tools such as WebEx, Zoom, or other digital options.
Live-Streaming and Captured Live-Streaming
The class content is delivered on campus and is recorded for real-time viewing or
accessed for later viewing.
This is a special accommodation that is only available to students who has requested this access prior to the start of the class or develop a condition or situation that no longer allows them to attend class in person.
Online
Students who wish to take full online courses will take those courses through CCCOnline.
The student will continue to be considered at Otero student, but no classes are held
on campus and instructors are not members of the Otero faculty
*Should the College receive an executive order to once again be safer at home, all classes will transition to a hybrid-remote format.
